Fuel grade

Sorry if this has been covered before. Had a look but could not find anything.
What is against using E10 fuel in our 'old wagons'? Aware of fuel line grades but was thinking more of the effect on the engine and performance.

For the record I've been using E10 in my DJ at 10 degrees and have had no issues.. so far anyway.

I think the main issue was degrading fuel lines etc when using E10 in older vehicles unless lines have been upgraded. I haven't touched the timing on mine since using E10 and all looks fine so far.

No performance issues vs using normal regular unleaded.
