Can someone please advise? I’ve been given the above coil from my local parts store as told it is a direct replacement, it’s a whole heap smaller but has the same connections, the van starts ok with it, is it going to be ok to leave in or should I try and source a direct replacement?

part number does cross link to original part 211 905 115 D, and it made by Hella so should be fine, just coil design has changed in 40 years, probably informed by coil pack design, hence the dinky coil supplied to you
