Old Diesel

My recently purchased Multivan had sat unused for 3+ years when I bought it. It came with half a tank of diesel. I'm about to do oil and filters service and wondered whether it'd be wise to drain the old diesel out and put some fresh in? Cheers.

Yes, I think it would be good to drain the old diesel out. No need to waste it though. As long as it's clean, you can pour a bit in each time you fill up with fresh.

It will be fine unless there’s been water leaking into the tank

I'll leave it in there for now I think. Cheers for the replies

Add a bit of cetane booster to replenish what it has lost.
