Coil [getting old?]

My wagon still has it's original [1987] 'green label' coil. Do not have any problems. Starts on lpg after 2/3/4 attempts depending on temp/weather.
Just a thought. Do coils, or their performance, deteriorate over the years?
If it 'aint' broke, leave it alone. Just wondered.

Pretty resilient as is all the ignition system I’d say. Issues are normally air-fuel issues not ignition. Test it with a multimeter.

Many, many thanks for all your info. Will test it anyway even though everything appears in order.
