T25 - turn the key and nothing. Starter motor?

So today it's cold and wet out.
I started my 1987 T25. It turned over just fine. Bit slow to catch maybe but it's been too weeks since I drove her.
Drove around for a while and stopped off for an hour.
Tried to start it again and nothing...
Idiot lights all on. 12v showing in the battery (from lighter port). Turn the key and nothing. Nada. Not even any indication that anything is going to the engine.
Tried a few more times with the same result.
Let it a few minutes and it started like nothing had happened!
I'm wondering if this is the starter motor? It's an old unit.
Any thoughts welcome.
Thanks

The small spade connector on the starter often slips off. That can cause these symptoms.

Yep trigger wire onto starter corroded, dirty or disconnected

Could be ignition switch ,wiring , starter or even the battery , did the charge light go out ?
Get a multimeter and an assistant, get under the van and pull off the small spade connector on the starter , get your assistant to turn the key and see if you have voltage

Thanks everyone.
That’s 3 votes for the spade connector.
Will take a look tomorrow

Yep as above I had already started to unbolt the starter on mine when I noticed the spade connector had slipped off.

I've had that issue a few times, was always the starter solenoid cable.
Mine won't start today, think my ignition coil needs replaced.

Really? In my opinion the coil normally gives running issues under load and not starting issues. You can test the lead and coil's resistance.

Yeah, well everything else is pretty new and I had issues with it over the summer. From what I've read a faulty coil can cause starting issues. I've ordered one, the one in there is pretty old anyway - so I'll find out soon enough if it's the culprit.

Just because it’s new doesn’t mean it works any more

Did you get her running?
My issue turned out to be the choke, dead. Need to replace...

She was always running, just sometimes nothing happened when turning the key. Give it a second and try again and it’s fine.
Crawled under and checked starter and spade was on there. Saying that, I didn’t remove it to clean the terminals.

ok, so you need to clean that terminal and check it is makeing a connection, dirty corroded connections will let you down.
if the trigger wire is connected and is a good clean connection, itsll be the ignition switch from your description in your last post
