exactly where is the code on a 5 speed diesel gearbox.....searched wiki cant find the answer.

should be on the left hand underside on the edge which is angled at about 45 deg if that make sense

do you mean the passenger side.

if its a rhd then yes it will be the passenger side

vertically beneath the selector shaft, and on the side the linkage connects too not the reverse light switch side, think there is a pic on CJs website somewhere

the 2wd is the same as in harrymans phot on that bottom l/h edge thats at 45 deg

Yup, just need sa whizz over with brake cleaner and an oily rag to reveal all.. or if not, a wire brush and view from a funny angle...
