i've got a gypo and it has a 16td engine in it and it seems to run quite hot, almost over half way on the gauge all the time (after about 5 mins of running!)

good or bad thing?

I think youre alright to be honest. Just keep your coolant levels checked. My syncros gauge goes a little past the red light under normal running.

I always put the slightly higher temp in gipos-both mine and my mates both sit at about 2 mins past 12(if you know what I mean) down to the lack of forced air from having no cooling vents like a normal bus.

That and the extra weight would be another factor.
