Air guide panel patch. Seam weld or spot?

Hi, I have to weld a small patch on an otherwise solid air guide panel, where it meets the filler plate panel, approximately 2” round.
Does this need to be fully seam welded for mr mot or can it be beaded?
Thanks.

The current hole is two inches, I imagine this to be bigger once ground back and the bad cut out. If it was just 2” of welding I would fully seam lol hence my question, thanks.

Cut out the rot and fiberglass it with aluminium mesh, ive done the same for the cab steps to pass a vehicle inspection.

air guide panel is bottom of engine air inlet, the panel that makes up the area behind the rear lights, equivalent to bay window battery box, I don't think it is that structural and since it is just a patch should be fine

Or clean up the hole back to good metal and make it look as though it was meant to be there, provided you mean the floor of the bit below the air vent where the water drips and keeps you awake at night, kill two birds with one stone.

Thanks for the replies. It is the panel under the vent. I need to change the lower rear panel after xmas so will patch it up at the same time I think. It looks a bugger to get to from above and do a good job. Has anyone ever used a fire blanket as weld protection? And as an aside, are the rear panels single skinned (outer only) or attached to an inner? Thanks.

The rear panel below the lights, behind the bumper. Its either been patched badly before or double skinned? I will then do the panel under the vent panel (where the end cap bolts through) as it will be easily accessible.

The rear valance is only thin single skin, usually rusts where its spot welded to the rear lower crossmember.
