CV Boot tool recommendation

Any recomendations for a good set of pliers to buy.

I'm not in the snap-on price range but a quality tool is a must - cheap tools are a waste of time and money.
Would also apreciate recomendations for decent replacement CV clips (are the cv universal ones any good)

(nothing from Amazone or china please)

bought cheap recently - when I know better, got what I deserved.
Just bought 'cheap' self centering pilot hole drills (for wood) - thinking how wrong can you go on these! - lots is the answer
Utter carp, they don't spin straight, the suitable shroud size produces huge pilot holes - and to top it off the spring loaded shroud doesn't srping back.

Cheers. Nothing like the one I thought I needed - why am I thinking they should look more like blunt carpenters pincers.

Oh did you mean oetiker clip clamp for the boot clips? Not pliers for the snap rings on the end of the shaft? I got new clips in with new boots as a kit but I guess that's no good if your boots are OK.

Rob, Stesaw, Aidan - yes, those are what I thought I'd need - cheers, thanks for taking the time.

I have a feeling, yonks ago, my uncle had a pair which would take them off and I remember him sounding doubtful when he said 'it's supposedly allows you to use them again' - he said it was a lot of faff - and that he'd never fully trust the clip.

Anyon go the Spec for Correct clamps to hand.

I know they usually come with a replacement boot, but i'd like to carry some spares - as one of mine has gone walkies (smaller one)

Struggling to find the spec for the two needed - I'd prefer the right size rather than universal ones which need cutting down.
