  Engine ran ok for about 20 miles, then started to burn oil, lost all power and used a lot of oil. Topped-up oil, tested compressions all 125psi. Any ideas what the problem could be??  Engine is a 1641cc air-cooled. Thanks in advance.

sounds like it got very hot, what speed were you travelling at?

Was it low on oil to start with?

Any warning signs, low oil pressure, temperature etc.
