Hi
I keep noticing small puddle off oil evertime I try and start my bus, it takes a while to get started which I know can be a common issue, it does sometimes need fuel straight into carb to get it going. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem. Its a 1.9 dg.

Are you following the cold and hot start procedures iaw the manual, have you identified where the oil leak originates, what type of carb have you got fitted this may aid further help. Also what does the oil level show via the dipstick when cold. I have just read this thread/post which you may find useful.

It is a bit of a learning curve with these vehicles, but lots of help and knowledge on this forum. Also have a look at the wiki or previous threads as these give good pointers.

The bus is starting on the button now and there is no notable sign of any oil leak, the only issue now is that there is a very loud squealing noise which lasts about 2 minutes after start up. Any ideas anyone

It could be the alternator belt or the water pump, best to start to monitor these areas for any sign of the noise, check oil and coolant levels also to ensure all is in place. If the alternator belt is a bit to loose do not over tighten as this will stress the water pump, maybe a bit of that oil has got on the belt area and has contaminated it also.
