Dear all, I have a 1.9 watercooled 1985 which runs pretty well, unfortunately when I replaced the split charger relay I noticed the connector on the bag of the alternator was hanging on by three frayed wires !! I contacted VW and they can't tell me any thing cos the computer says no.

Does any one know the part number or how I can get hold of one, other than going to a donor camper and getting that connector and 6in of lead to splice it in.

two large spade connectors and a smaller one?

should be available from a lucus dealer, or just use single spades of the right size
