Stuck carb

Before I go full Basil Fawlty and beat the van with a stick can anyone help please...

My left hand carb is stuck and I can’t see why... on the right carb the throttle rod is adjustable via two nuts, on the left stuck one it’s a solid bar and I can’t see how it can be adjusted to close the gap.

I must have knocked something but I’ve been staring, fiddling and swearing for an hour and I’m no further forward.... When the van is at idle it’s revving it’s conkers off...

Adjust the carbs to idle then adjust the linkage to fit , there’s only one adjustable one usually, but some have 2

That’s the thing, it won’t adjust to idle, the left carb is ‘locked’ about 5mm from idle...

Remove the linkages first

Pop the linkage rod off, if ti doesn't return to normal, either the choke is holding it open or something is jamming the throttle spindle or butterfly.

Finally got to the bottom of it after doing what was suggested... around a fortnight ago I replaced the nylon bush in the throttle bar which removed quite a bit of play, removing this play had then ‘tweaked’ the linkage.

As suggested removed the linkage, altered the bolts and all back to normal...
