Anyone recognise these two buttons? We have had our 1980 air-cooled Westy hi-top for over 20 years but never had a clue re these. They both toggle in and out.

I’m guessing that’s some kind of owner modification - perhaps some kind of switchable tell-tale lamp(?) to show whoever is up top whether something downstairs has been left switched on? It certainly doesn’t look like it’s stock VW or Westfalia.

What are they connected to, maybe the radio so it can be left on then remotely isolated up top at night.

If I make a switch upstairs, that would be a light switch

Thanks for sensible suggestions. I think I have tried with most obvious items , lights, radio etc. The only aftermarket addition we know about is an alarm which we have never tried (it has an external key socket).

Whilst I'm at it here is another one. It is same style button as is on the Westy charger under rock and roll . The light used to come on but my leisure battery has failed so can't remember under what circumstances.
