Just purchased a T25 with a side elevating roof. Want to fit a roof rack to it for carrying a kayak - any suggestions? Tks Paul

Could you use something like the Thule 542's to create gutters and then attach a lightweight one of that folds down to the side so it doesn't restrict the elevating roof as much?
Not sure how practical it would be but might be an idea

Fully appreciate that I am resurrecting an old thread, but I have exactly the same situation, I have an old bilbo conversion with side elevating roof and a plan to carry a canoe on the roof for trips away - but I need to somehow attach a rack to the top to make it happen.
Ideally I don't want to make holes in the fibreglass, for obvious reasons, its my roof, and its old, and I dont want to find out the hard way that it isn't strong enough!
Did this plan work, or does anyone else have any ideas for how this can be done?
