Water pump to block seal problem?

Hi going to fit new water pump on and I’m just seeing if I need something to help the ring seal as block looks pitted see photo

Dry, degrease and smear some Reinzosil on the face before fitting the pump with a new O ring. Job done.

I’ve pick up a small tube of Reinzosil, I know how to apply it (thanks silverbullet) when installed do i need to let it fully cure before refilling and bleeding the coolent system?
