WBX 2.1dj 90A alternator,the light is staying on after I fitted a used replacement. The previous ones bearings have just become very noisy so swapped for the one in my syncro. It does go out but not for a while. Appears to be putting out around 14.77V as measured at battery and between 8mm +ve post and engine block earth.... Is this just a case of cleaning connections or a sign of voltage regulator or other imminent failure?

Cleaned contacts, fitted new voltage regulator all good
