East Midlands under hightop welding?

Hi all
I need some welding doing above my windscreen and under my hightop roof at the front......possibly other areas also
does anyone know of anyone in the East Midlands who can do this?
also, I was quoted 1500 upwards of just doing the front part. but that was without removing the high top as they said they never go on the same? I though they did for that kind of money! lol although I am probably wrong
thanks all
Rich

I’d like to see how they would repair this without taking the roof off.

I have a similar problem although my van is rusty along the gutters. I can't see how it is possible to fix without taking off the hitop? Lots of vans have had hitops removed though and I haven't seen any posts of difficulties afterwards. I suspect it is more likely that they don't want to do it!!

I did mine on first lockdown I thought I had a little bit of rust but what was underneath was just a bodged job by the previous owners garage glass fibre over the Rust had to replace gutters outside roof front and the windscreen of the car and the new panel across the way I’ll put some photos on when I’m on the Wi-Fi

This might be a daft question but where there are seams between panels, where they always seem to go rusty, is there any connection between the panels or are they separate with sealant just filling the gap?

They are welded together , the sealer is to water proof / finish the joint

Spot welded then I presume, and from inside of the panel? I have work to do on my van at some point and I am trying to get a picture of the construction of it all before I start.
