Leaking van

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can offer me some advice on a leaking T25 hightop.

I haven't used the van in a while and as we are all aware it has been getting pounded by the awful weather we are experiencing at the moment, today excluded. I have noticed that the carpet in the middle of the van is damp but I cannot locate where it is coming from. I had a look up at the roof area but can feel or see nothing out of the ordinary. I wonder if perhaps water is leaking in from the seals of the back windows and just trickling into the compartment? I have also noticed some black lines on the external paint work under the windows which might suggest the rubber is spent.

I am hoping to rip out the carpet anyway theis year and replace it with something nicer like laminate or something but clearly want to investigate this problem before I consider the job.

Thanks in advance.

Russell.

Hi,

Have no idea where the water is coming in from....would removing the carpet then using a bucket/hosepipe to focus the water help locate the leak?

Just a thought...have you got a vent in your hightop that could be dripping into the van???

sorry if that is no help whatsoever!

I dont think so no. I have two sliding windows as you can probably see in the little Avatar but it doesn't appear to be coming in from there. I think I agree that I need to rip out the carpet and have a good look. In the middle of selling my house so time will dictate when I can do this.

Thanks

Russell.
