Eberspacher D1L no heat.

On board my sister's yacht a D1L model with thermostat in stateroom.
Heater not used for nearly a year. So thought l would test both settings while doing some other work on board.
However the thermostat cooling fan light and heater light are both illuminated at same time despite setting rocker to each side. Is this correct?
Furthermore the cooling fan works fine (both light on?). But switch to heat side (both lights still again?) and turn dial to maximum heat, fan runs for about five minutes but does not ignite. No pump clicking either.
Are both lights illuminated fooling the heating side of system and preventing ingition.
Regards
Stuart

Cooling fan running. Both lights on

Switch to heater. Both light on. No ignition of burner. No pump. Cuts off after five minutes.

I think that means no pump , or pump failure if I remember correctly from the fault code book
OBG is the man to talk to for heater jiggerypokery

Cheers Steve,
I sent a PM to OBG not long after posting this. Ive seen it has been read. Yet to hear his reply though.
Got a feeling more than pump failure though. Since original post the cool air blower has also stopped! Now no running either on heat or cooling. Both lights still showing.
Does the heater box have a fuse by any chance? I have cleaned every connection on or by the blower. Will test with multi meter for power arriving at heater box...typically sited in the most awkward position in the transom.
Regards
Stuart

I’m sure if it was low voltage the lights flash , I can’t find the details now , but no do know that if the pump is null it will not run, it stops the start up process

Have tested pump in engine bay by removing live and neg cables, then using nearby leisure battery ran two wires to pump terminals. Flicking one wire against terminal makes pump click a bit like a solenoid. But not as loud as l recall...a year ago.

Thanks for your advice. But got a feeling its more terminal.
:ok

Just read five attempts and D1L locks out.
Can only be unlocked by Eberspacher/heater engineer, or with a unique diagnostic tool.
Where is OBG when needed!

I’m sure it’s ten attempts , my Dl1c is anyway
and yes you need a diagnostic tool to unlock them .

Thats is something l couldnt work out. I read "ten attempts equals five double attempts".....whatever that means.
Anyhow....l have given it loads of attempts and now nothing.
Also lm struggling to fund fuses! Especially 25 amp for heater box. Cant find anything near leis batts. Is it near heater? Thermostat control is still showing lights so no fuse (5amp) problem there.
Wiring is tenfold the amount on a T25. And hidden in roof lining, under floor and all over the place. Nothing on fuse control panel neither. I struggle with a split relay :D

The heater fuse should be at the junction of the heater itself and the loom to it , so right near the heater , in-line fuse , normally in a bayonet holder

Have you got a constant 12v to the pump with the heater on?

No. Im sure it locks out power to pump too, to prevent flooding heater box

Apart from Eber heater/cooler not working. Fridge compressor has rusted it bottom off. So no cold beers. Depth finder intermittently faulty now failed. Transducer likely. No speedo. Paddle caked with mollusc. Stern navigation light faulty and shaver point light faulty...all shipshape really.

And its raining :ok

There’s a fuse in the silver control box
