Sliding Door Alignment issue

Hi

I am new to the forum and to campers! I have been to view a few but the one that I interested in has an issue with the sliding door. The gap at the front and rear look okay but the rear of the door sits proud of the body by 10mm or more. Is this something that is an easy fix (seen lots about vertical and fore / aft alignment but nothing on this) or is it something that I should steer clear of?

Any help gratefully received!

10mm is excessive it should be quite flush with the panel, I had a problem with mine some time ago and found one of the bolts on the inside rear closing hinge was missing/dropped out which made my door impossible to lock/close properly until I fitted a replacement bolt and all was well. Also welcome to the Club.

I'll take a look when I next view the van, thanks for that, and the welcome!

While you are at it check up to see whether any welding work has taken place along the bottom of the door. I had to replace much of the bottom of my door and luckily enough I checked the closure after tack welding. I found the door to be slightly twisted and had to redo the tacking to straighten it up before completing the welding. Schoolboy error on my part  . But If the gap is equal top to bottom on both front and rear, it will likely be a missing fixing or readjustment issue like the man says .
welcome aboard.
:ok

Thanks! I think the sliding door is one of the few parts that hasn’t been welded, but a good too, I’ll check that too
