Petrol heater feed taken from fuel return pipe?

Hello

Has anyone ever used the fuel return pipe rather than the fuel outlet pipe to tee off the feed for their petrol heater? The reason I ask is my van keeps killing electric fuel pumps (bosch) and I have a new fuel injection tank so wondered if cavitation of the fuel caused by the heater t-piece is the problem?

Did you ever check that the fuel pressure reg was ok, and not causing excess pressure? As obg said, the T wouldnt cause any issues (hes overseen a lot of installs)

I'd have a read on a Subaru forum about how to test the pressure best. My guage I'm sure only cost a few quid, then attach a length of hose onto it. Just make sure you get the right scale to measure it with
