My van needs some major holes filling, mainly the small panel between the rear arch and the sliding door & the bottom of the slider it's self.

I've seen these bits for sale and thought it would be easyer than welding/filling. and would look loads better

Today i'm pulling the guts out the inside of the van so i can see the damage from both sides (and the guts are cr#p )

How do you seal the panels together?

Also who's doing the best price for panels? I've see a bloke in derbyshire who's name i don't remember, i can drive there after work in less than 40 mins

VW sell the body panels, some have recently been reduced in price. Get em while you still can ! Otherwise Alan Schofield seems to have a good reputation.

The T25 body was spot welded together, with panels sealed using polyurethane or similar sealant. This hardens and shrinks with age, which is how seam rust starts.

The rust at the foot of the C-pillar you describe isn't uncommon. If the damage is just to the outer panel that can just be plated. However just inside there, a number of panels meet, and its structural, being just above the jacking points and rear trailing-arm mounting. If that's badly damaged you could have a more difficult job on your hands.
