Getting rid of rear side windows

I did a fair amount of bodywork on our camper a good few years ago. Unfortunately some of the rust has come back , especially around the rear side windows. We have been using the van regularly for holidays , days and weekends out and we have it pretty much as we like it.
We have thermal blinds permanenty fixed in the rear side windows and closed curtains. As a result I am contemplating getting rid of the rust and the window in one go.
What options do I have , body cuts off a van , replacement full side panel ( very expensive), or making a plate with joggled edges to fit the cut out. ?
Has any one done similar?
This job will be along with doing some other panel replacing and re trimming the interior.
Thanks

£125 for a 5mm Aluminium Window ! F*****!

I would draw round one of your windows and cut the metal out with a jigsaw

you could do both windows and buy a jigsaw and have plenty of change.

I see where you're coming from but I want to get rid of the hole that's there from the windows being fitted in the first place.

maybe some body cuts from a panel van then

easier than trying to make weld in bits for window recesses :ok

:ok
Was thinking about a full side panel but very expensive and probably not necessary

cut it out neat to remove the crap , bond a nice piece of steel to the inside ,a few csk rivits to hold it and a fibreglass louvre panal you know the sort bonded on the outside, this way needs no welding skills you can do it yourself and it is an option

I'd go for these if you win the Euromillions:

Hi Steve , yes it is Phredds old van , we've had it around 9 years now. Hope we gave it a new lease of life when we took it on. We still call it Jambo as he christened her.
I've got a few options open to me now but still thinking of plating the rear sides up as the windows arent used and will make the sides in the back a bit more usable.
Hope you are keeping well.

Love those storage units , now that's given me an idea and it wouldn't cost anywhere near that much , thanks for the inspiration .
