Tailgate, early and late differences

Ok, a bit of a longshot. Does anybody know if anything changed on the tailgate when it got updated in 1985. I know about the lock hole size, was wondering if the shape was altered at all?

Just the lock was changed in 85/86 and later in 87 a recessed round badge was put on the center.
Other than these they are the same so they are interchangeable.

Cheers for the info, looks like I've managed to find a dud one, as the fit is atrocious.

They can be fairly tricky to adjust, not just bolt on
