Hi all
I’m in need of some advise on the best glue/epoxy to fix the clock/speedo.
The back of the Analogue clock has some tabs missing and cracks here and there.
Any ideas what type of plastic it’s made of and what works best to stick it.
Any advice welcome

I would go with something like this...

It's this like water so use a small brush and run along the crack....oh err!! If you were a modeller as a kid then this is the same stuff. Hold together with tape or rubber bands to keep pressure up leave for a good few hours to fully harden again. Tabs are more tricky, you can stick them the same way but that will always be a weak spot and might break again when a bit of force is applied no matter what glue you use.

Good luck

I would also look as mitre fix as well as it’s super fast setting so mind your fingers. Then you can hold in position for a few seconds while it drys. Then dab around the out side of joint to thicken contact area.

I'd guess it's some form of styrene based blend. Are there any any material codes on the component; PS,ABS etc?

biscuit tin ( old xmas selection type, shortbread etc... before they went to plastic, or any thin metal sheet) or plasticard and araldite or any two pack resin type material works well to make up missing sections reinforcements, just need to ensure any metal is insulated at potential contact points
