Hello there,
Has anyone ever had the pleasure of removing the steel cooling pipes from a 1.9 DF. Do you really have to remove the fuel tank? has anyone ever replaced these with a smaller diameter pipe (25mm)

I think tank has tro coem out and they are oft replaced with the later palstic ones I think, in the sttes I have heard custom s/s tube being used, but would maintain diameter as is

diameter of later plastic pipes is larger than the steel ones, so going smaller is likely a bad move.
some people have changed the pipes without dropping the fuel tank, but if you've never taken the tank off you should to check its condition and the condition of the pipes to the expansion tanks. drain tank then remove it on a jack, did mine on my own without too much hassle, would be very easy with two pairs of hands.
