Went into open heart surgery above OS rear Jacking point. Thank to Platicman for tips. 3mm plate used. Only problem now is it looks like a purchased an oversize panel from just klampers to go over the lower qtr.... Not sure how best to use it as ideally I'd like to keep my edge and inner arch that are there already. Could cut curved rear edge off the repair panel. NB Klokkerholm.

I've decided to use the proper vw lower repair panel
Just don't want to weld it on too high and risk melting the westy stickers.
