Hi everyone,

Got the Early gear linkage kit from Brickwerks this week and I have started to change out some of my parts.

The gear lever attached to the gearbox I am having difficulty with. I am afraid as its attached to the gearbox that I might do damage by applying force to remove the nuts attaching it on.

Am I being over cautious or should I be careful when removing it.

Sorted it was just stubborn.

Had to refit the old lever after fitting the new one the ball slid off the grooves not too happy to say the least as it was the bones of £35..

In good news fitted a new bearing pin as when I took the other one out it was severely bent. And fitted now tabs to the front of the linkage.

The extreme squeaking has stopped which is fantastic and definitely a lot better gear change less movement in the stick.

Now to fit the rest of the bushing whenever I get around to replacing the fuel tank!
