VW T25 Cu 2.0 fuel Line replacement

My van has been laid up for 6 months or so. I came to start her up and she’d start but not run unless I kept my foot on pedal, even after a few minutes of warming up.

So I came to figure a service/ tune up needed. In the engine bay I noticed the hose under the right carb into the manifold/ return line was wet with fuel. So ordered a replacement fuel kit from brickworks. However there are a couple of different hose sizes Than in kit. The return line t’s off to near the fuel cut off on left carb and the hose is larger 12mm. Is that correct? It’s also the size of the tube off the left carb manifold into the return line.

The hoses I’ve pulled off so far are cracked inside (old braided type) . Shocking.

Anyone have a link or tutorial for replacement of the whole line? Just for a bit of a guide. Not really found anything online or in wiki. That would be great.

Ps- I do have a electric fuel pump with a filter in engine bay, do I need that? I do have a filter near tank too.

The other lines are breather and carb equaliser lines

Keep the pump, I expect the mechanical pump had previously failed , the filter under the van is sufficient

Thanks david, I assumed they were breather lines but no one seems to talk or state what size they are. The replacement kits do not cover them either, hence the post to check if anyone else had done this and could share?

The large hose is for the central idling circuit. 11mm id for the left upper carb hose connector and 9mm id for the lower manifold connectors
