Hi all,
Does anyone know a place in West Yorkshire that'll reliably do a front alignment?
Thanks!

i do indeed. but i live right on the edge of west yorkshire, about a mile inside actually! seemed easier to say that than 'Todmorden' ;) Rochdale is 8 miles away, and while certainly not a garden spot, its a very useful place for any building supplies, plumbing, auto supplies, utilities etc :ok

Tods a nice place, the Mrs is from there. I remember going after all the floods you guys had, looked rough.
Does Murts not do alignment checks?

I stopped at Todmorden railway station once.

Before I was old enough to have a driving licence I was returning from the motor show at the NEC. The usual route back to Leeds was closed so the diversion was via Manchester, stopping at Tod on the way back.

I had no idea where it was at the time

These days I have good friends in Littleborough

Yeah it's a lovely valley, if somewhat flood prone :-\ massive engineering works going on all the time though, the environment agency have their work cut out. They're opposite right now actually, shoring up a culvert.

Which is Murts? Doesn't ring a bell... Unless you mean murgatroyds on way to hebden?

:-) yeah it's on the Manchester Leeds line. Pretty decent service, when it's going smoothly. I cycle to littleborough every day on my commute to Manchester, again a nice route via canal and road. Some awful fast drivers ruin it some days though :-\

Yeah I know a lot of work goes on, last time I was up there were diggers going back and forth along the road ferrying stuff. I recall seeing the canal drained due to a landside, plus the constant work they do on the canal locks and towpaths, must be a headache!

Murts is further towards Hebden past murgatroyds by about a quarter mile if that.

We used to spend time at the Amateur Astronomy Centre near Todmoredon in the eighties although I haven't been up there for yonks. Looks like it is still going. Amy one visited there lately?
