Hi all,

I just had the passenger seats out of my SA van to repair a wire threatening to poke thru the leather on the seat base. I managed to sort that out OK but reassembling the rails onto the seat base I cannot for the life of me figure out how to refit the springs that keep downward pressure on the cross-bar for latching the seat in the rails.

I tried the driver's side but they're both missing and my other van has Recaro's so no help there. Can someone post a pic of the underside of a front seat please so I can see how to refit them - thanks.


Its items 12 & 13 in the pic I need a fitted image of.

The wire feeds through the actual base , I’ll see if I have a seat I can get a picture of

I have that bar thru the base ok, it's the springs, one fitted on either side, that push that bar down into the notches in the seat rail that I'm having trouble with. Looks as though they may be missing on your seat too.

It's these springs....
