Any one give me some advice, the drivers door will not lock it feels like it would snap the key if I tried to false it ,plus the button will not push down either To lock it.

I dont think drivers' door will lock on pushing button. Its prevents accidental lockout.
Will the key turn in lock? Did it work before?

They do lock by pushing the button if the door is closed ,
Late drivers doors won’t lock on the button before the door is closed .

Door card off, check the rod to the button is not jammed or bent

Advice freely given and not a word. I hope this fella's not succumbed to the big c?
And you are right...drivers' door locks on pin when shut.
