Hi all,

Can anyone confirm whether the pick up load bed repair panel (https://www.alanhschofield.com/ourparts ... 403LR.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) is the same profile as the floor forward of the engine hatch please?

Wondering whether we can use this for repair or whether we need to make our own panel.

The pick up bed has narrow ribs compared to the van engine surround panel. You could make your repair with just flat sheet steel and not have the outer rib. I have just looked at a new original vw engine surround panel and if you cut through the next lower rib you could then use flat steel for the repair. The measurement to halfway of the lower rib to the outer edge of the panel is 85mm. Hope that helps.
