Hard Fuel Pipe & Unknown Connectors

Hi everyone!
I recently bought a 1985 T25 1.9 petrol panel van in order to carry out a camper conversion. I just have a couple of simple questions if someone could assist I would greatly appreciate it!
1. Firstly regarding fuel lines - I've ordered the Brickwerks ethanol safe fuel pipe to replace the flexible pipes in the engine bay. However I don't see many people changing the hard pipe that runs from the tank to the grommet in the bulkhead of the engine bay. Are these fairly hardy? Yes its probably worth changing at some point but am i right in thinking not as urgent as the flexible parts of the pipe.
2. Secondly could anyone shed some light on what these connectors/wires are for.
This seems to come from the gearbox under the carb and just sits on top of the engine. What is it and where should it go?

And then this (Seems to come from the bottom of the Carb but not plugged in anywhere)

Thanks for reading

E D I T: Having done a bit more research into the fuel pipes, my best bet is to get :
The Fuel Feed:
https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/fuel-feed- ... 9l-dg.html
And Return Line:
https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/fuel-retur ... 9l-dg.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Then just get some pipe for the engine bay and that should cover it right?
