I ordered some 8mm 100% ethanol fuel hose for a DG but have found the connector on the tank to be much larger diameter. I've also fitted an electric fuel pump with a 8mm inlet prefilter.
I need a reducer hose from the larger tank outlet (14mm I think) to 8mm.

Something doesn't seem right as what I'm looking isn't readily available. Could be a DJ tank (it's a new replacement)

yes injection tank has a hose pipe sized outlet and DG tank has the much smaller size.

The large pipe is available from brickwerks in 0.5m increments but its expensive

no you need a reducer for the outlet of the pump to the smaller size, keep the larger hose from the tank to the pump as you need only 6 inches

I use 11.5mm hose for the 12mm spigot for those tanks. You will need a 12mm to 8mm reducer. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hose-Mender- ... aab69bc3be

Thanks for all the info. I've put the pump about 100mm from the tank so may have to move it along a bit to get the adaptor in.

Yes, that is what I had to do to get a Tee-piece in easily before a pump when fitting a heater
