ABS Ring Removal. 2WD

Following on from the subject below, has anyone sucessfully removed the ABS ring from a 2WD hub? And if yes, what technique did you apply for removing ring without damaging it? Are they a soft metal?
I have two alternatives. Brickwerks sells original late ATE disc rotors at £36.00 each. That's a bargain. But without the ABS rings. So l could refit original rings to new rotors.
Or special three weeks' waiting order for disc rotors with ABS rings already fitted for £53.00 each.
I have new pads and bearings waiting to match up. So no other costs to consider apart from my labour.
Living in a budget so keen to save money wherever possible. Plus l like a minor mechanical challenge

I used a 3 prong hub puller to remove the ABS rings. I had to put a small bit of 1/4" bar across the centre of the disc for the puller to rest against. They took a while to come off and i had to tap round them them with a hammer. The Abs rings came off straight with no warps and went onto the new discs with no issues.

Nice one Highroller. Thanks very much.
No heat necessary? In your opinion could it be easy to damage these rings? Are they soft metal?

I did use a little heat on the first one but reckoned I didn't need it and the rings are hard.
