Hi
I know this is 'old hat' for alot of you (that's why Im asking!) but I cannot find the answer in WIKI, which suprised me?

Before I put my refurbed gearbox and engine back in my van, and because I hear tell of horror stories about fuel lines etc I want to at change the lines going from the rear part of the petrol tank (seems to be on each side of van, the one on the offside has fuel filter a foot or so back from the tank. I want tochange them all the way back to the engine.

i would like to know what sort of pipe (diameter etc) and hose clips should I get, and where from is best? Any advice greatly appreciated....

FW :D

Not much point in changing the main plastic fuel line from the tank as this part gives very litttle trouble (unless it has come loose and is showing signs chaffing ).

The bit to be worried about are all the rubber pipes connected to the fuel pump and to the carburettor for the simple reason they get 'cooked' over a period of time and tend to deteriorate in such a way it may not always be obvious.....

Rubber fuel hose 'braded' inside diameter approx 6mm, use quality hose clips.
