Fridge and leisure battery recommendation

Hi all. Looking for any advice or experience on changing the fridge in my van.

Planning on removing the original 3 way fridge from my '82 viking and replacing it with a new one. I'm also going to finally get round to fitting a low level leisure battery behind the passenger seat, split charger and solar power. Any views or thoughts on the best stuff out there would be much appreciated. Cheers!

Hi, I have a brand new dometic crx50 fridge for sale that'll fit in place of the original fridge. It's a compressor fridge that we didn't end up fitting (bought a new van that already has one)

Looking for £450 ono and just up the road from you.

We have one of those. Uses very little power

Yeah they're really good. I like being able to have ice in my JD and coke while camping.

Thanks Dobble but hoping to go a bit bigger than the original. Reckon I'll put it on the back burner for now until re-do the units and concentrate on getting the leisure battery and solar sorted.

No worries, just thought I'd mention it :ok

Do you need to fit a split charge system or just change the existing?

Going to fit a split charger. Went to a company today about supplying and fitting a solar unit so will probably get them to do it at the same time. Currently trying to find a cheaper solar unit than the one they supply as it was pricey to say the least!

Which ever you choose I'd recommend getting a compressor fridge, I've just upgraded mine which replaced a very old fridge and I'm very pleased with it.

Good price, home delivery, no issues, fits well.
Split charging, I bought one of these.

Charges leisure and starter battery. No issues and very pleased with it.
