noticed a small leak this morning

Hi Guys and girls
noticed a pink stain on the lower side of right cylinder head this morning
water levels are still fine.
guessing it's the start of a snapped stud or just the water jacket seal failing.
no running problems at all and cooling system is pressurising correctly.
anything I can add (Not barrs leaks) have used a white liquid on Motorbikes that will sort small leaks until I have the time/money to buy a gasket kit and all the sealers required.
seems to be wet when cold and stops when warm.
Itchy will know
Regards
Rick

dont add anything untill it becomes a topping up issue.....
then as a last resort "K seal" but its last chance saloon then, and will cause more trouble than it saves
a small pink stain now will take a while to be a topping up issue if mine was anything to go by , plan the water jacket seal replacement in the not too distant future.... at least get them in stock sooner rather than later !

I received some criticism for this in the past, so feel free to ignore me!
I had a similar small weep from a head seal, which I ‘fixed’ by smearing some sealant on the outside of the seal and head. As there is no real pressure behind these weepy type leaks it will hold for a reasonable length of time. Lasted many months in commuting use.
Obviously you need to make a more permanent repair at some point, but for me this approach allowed me to hold off doing this until it was convenient!

Thanks guys
Ill keep an eye on it for now.
and start gathering gaskets & Seals
Engine had a "full rebuilt" (£3200) from a well known Specialist with a good rep I have a bill for under 10,000 miles ago and does look like it did get rebuilt from what I have so far
investigated.
but I do have a photo dairy of the said rebuild with new Crank/rods Liners/Pistons/Camshaft etc so im pretty sure it was done as engine number matches from said diary.
although the same company charged the previous owner for front & rear heater motors which are still marked with 84 date markings
and took a large amount of wedge from him

Rick

Not necessarily water jacket seal. Could be running down from a weeping hose/ jubilee clip above, and leaving pink where it's evaporated off. Clean it all off and observe.
Anyway, it wasn't me.
