I'm guessing there is a blocked drain, but where is it?

water is come in though the side air vents you need to drill hole in there to drain water

Yep mine is the same, there is a thread somewhere discussing how to divert the rainwater from the gutter that goes in there.

Not the first to do this, I blanked the air vents with aluminum panels that rest against a bonded inner flange and they are now water tight. Absolutely no difference to engine running temperatures or oil pressure. I have driven my van for hours on end and locally on stop start journeys when day time temps have exceeded 38 degrees - no difference - Coolant gauge reads left of the LED.

I drilled a drain hole about 12 years ago and treated the box sections with Dynatrol but enless your van is parked flat and level water still collects.

Each panel is held by two brackets that bolt to the existing mountings, I can remove them and the bonded flanges and refit the original vents but I see absolutely no point in doing that.

I had a thought about this whilst it is raining this morning. You basically need something to fill the gap between the vent and the body. I had a look around the shed for something that might work and found some old black tubing I bought for use with a garden water pump years ago. It is just about the right width to fit in the gap and doing so diverted the rain from the gutter around the vent and down. I will tidy it all up later and not sure how it would cope whist driving but first impressions are it is an easy fix whilst parked up, and easy to take out and put in again.
