Hi All ,Im currently replacing my fuel tank ,fuel pump and filter on a T25 Westfalia ex 1.6diesel but has been converted to the 2L petrol golf engine ,-Im putting in the 2.1 fuel injected petrol tank which gives a larger outlet/flow but the fuel filter supplied has an 8mm inlet/outlet which seems to defeat the object of greater flow -does anyone know which filter has the larger inlet /out let ? as this will also match the larger inlet for the fuel pump - or am I barking up the wrong tree ? I would welcome your thoughts ...

The pump should come straight after the tank, which matches the 12mm outlet... And then the filter after the pump. That's how the factory 2.1 injection has it setup. Presume that would work for the golf engine too?

Don't forget that the fuel filter is after the pump.
The bigger feed makes it easier for the pump to provide the required pressure.
It works fine so don't be too concerned.

That's interesting mine is the other way around currently ,it is tank ,filter pump -your suggestion makes more sense as the pump produces 3 bar (Which matches the golf engine apparently) the only slight restriction would then be the filter -- it would also get rid of all the pipe work reducing the size which I have ..........
