Hi all,

I'm looking to get hold of some digijet spares for my manual 2.1 and have found someone parting an automatic. I was just wondering if anyone knew if there are differences between the two or not?

What spares were you thinking of?

Well next year I'm going on a 6 month trip in the van and I wanted to take a set of spares for the entire engine electronics/ignition system (ECU, dizzy, MAF sensor, injectors, idle stabiliser, pressure regulator etc) as I'm aware these might be harder to get hold of if something were to break. I might be being over cautious but no harm in these spares being tucked away at the back of my hightop. The fact that I could take everything I need from an automatic would make my life quite easy in sourcing the parts IF they are compatible!

All those parts will be the same for the purpose of getting out of trouble .

Is the gearbox for sale?

Mocki, Thanks for the response. Just to be clear, do you mean a part from an auto would get me out of trouble but may not be the same as what was supplied with a manual? I'm basically just trying to confirm whether autos and manuals were supplied with the same digijet system and components. I don't see why they wouldn't but I know nothing about how autos work! Unfortunately I don't have the part numbers so unable to check myself.

Auto and manual ECUs are different.Manual part No 025 906 021 F...... Auto part No 025 906 021 E

I’m pretty sure , that apart from the ECU none of the others are different , possibly the throttle body is different , I’m not sure .
I know the carb version has a different throttle arrangement for the auto .
