Hi

I Am now running a power spark dizzy on my CU engine and have just watched sarran1955s video on the subject.
Can I just check. Do you set the timing to 8 BTDC without vacuum? This sounds right as it fits with the timing for the single vac factory unit?

Yes, but then importantly make sure the timing advances to 28-32 deg BTDC @ over 3500 rpm vac still disconnected, and then make sure the timing then returns to 8 deg at idle.

Many thanks.
I’ll get my strobe out tomorrow.
Just out of interest Do you know how much extra the vacuum Will add at 50= 60 mph? I have read that some engines cruse at upto 50 BTDC??

Maximum vac advance is 12 deg but only works at part throttle under when the engine is under load.
