How do you remove this sort of hose clamp?
It looks like it needs some special tool but perhaps pliers and know how can do it?

Those crimped on clamps (Oetiker) are one-hit-wonders so any method that gets them off is fine - twist of with screwdriver, cut them with snips or wire cutters, dremel etc.

cut with side cutters ( wire cutters) easy enough
I cut one side of the loop so I don't damage the hose

My answer is gently , because if that is the plastic "through baulkhead " petrol pipe junction, it will be brittle .
Like itchy says , side cutters , it avoid twisting

Thanks, that makes a lot more sense now.
We stopped to get more info as we didn't want to break that plastic fuel through-bulkhead jobby.
Careful application of a big pair of snips has done the job.

plastic bulkhead jobbie is a one way valve
pull it through the bulkhead to get better access to change fuel hose. Anotyer short piece other side also.

My best tool for that job is an electric 1/2" finger file applied to the flat area. (Only takes seconds

) Use water to eliminate heat damage though. Not ideally suitable for petrol pipes for obvious reasons. I recently had to use that method to remove the clips when I upgraded the fuel pump and filter pipes under the van. Wasn't very happy about the sparks though :cry
