Cab door felts

Evening

I have just replaced the felts and scrapers on one of my cab doors and the window is tight as hell to close now. I expected it to be a better fit as the old ones were perished and hardened, but not this tight. Trying to work out if I have made a glaring error but I replaced them like for like. On the quarter light seal I cut it to the same length which meant pushing about 6 inches of seal down into the door towards the glass. Is this right or should it be cut off nearer?

Any advice would be gratefully received

Thanks

Ned

The 6 inches of felt hanging down won't make a difference I think. I did the same job s couple of years ago. It's more likely that the scrapers aren't seating into the metal clips correctly on the horizontal bottom scrapers, Nd it's pinching somewhere. Maybe it's on the wrong side of one of the clips ?

I checked those already. I saw on another forum that a little bit of silicone spray will help until they bed in so gonna try that. :ok
