Torque setting for JX manifold studs and nuts.

Hello, could anyone advise me the correct torque measurement for the manifold studs(fitted to cylinder head)on my 1.6TD? And also once the studs are in, what is the correct torque for the nuts that secure the manifold to the cylinder head?
Many thanks,
Rob.

Not sure about whether there's a torque for fitting any studs, but the final torque for the nuts to both the exhuast manifold, and air intake manifold, is 25Nm.
If you haven't got a copy of the VAG Service Workshop Manuals for the JX drop me a PM and I'll send you a download link for the PDFs.

The exhaust nuts and studs particularly have been known to come loose and fall out, so some people do them up a bit more than 18 ft-lbs. Be careful with the inlet manifold set screws ensure the threads in the head or clean, not blocked etc. Ensure the exhaust studs are in good condition and renew them and the bolts if necessary. Only use the correct thick exhaust manifold washers and nuts made from heat resisting steel.
Exhaust /inlet manifolds esp. on the turbo can be a reliability issue, ensure the faces of them both are clean, smooth and flat before fitting.
