Exhausted looking for a new exhaust!

Hi,

I have a water cooled 89 1900 petrol T25 that needs a new exhaust system fitted. So many garages round here either don't want to know or are asking silly money. I am in Hunstanton Norfolk so can anyone recommend a garage that can do this job fairly for me?

Also has anyone had a stainless steel system fitted and if so how much did it cost and where did you get it done?

Thanks Sandringham.

Your exhaust looks great (so does the rest of your van :) ) Thanks for that.

I have had a quote from JP exhaust for a stainless steel system of £512.00 think that's the way I'll go when I can afford it. For now I am seeing a guy on Friday who says he may be able to repair it sufficient to pass the M.O.T. which will buy me some time to raise the cash for the SS. Today I also had some joker qoute me well over £1200 to supply and fit the ordninary tin stuff...must think I was born yesterday.

£269 for the standard from Just Kampers if you need one and can't afford a stainless one.

Thanks Lidders, but I think I'll go for the SS and give the old credit card a bashing if I can't get it patched up.... can't be going through this hassel and expense every couple of years.

Glad to hear from someone who has one and is happy with it. Mine is costing more because of the delivery (I'm in Norfolk).

I'll second the JP recommendation.

Just had one fitted to mine, similar price to what you have quoted. Looks and sounds great.

Break out the (in)flexible friend, you won't regret it!!

Do JP fit their exhausts or are they supply only? I've heard loads of good reports on the quality of fit of their pipes. Nice to see some happy T25 owners. May have to invest in one myself.

Hi, whats a jp exhaust? company name or manufacturer? Is it stainless? Iam after a 2.1 watercooled, JK at £260, but am aware that may not be that good quality or last that long? Cheers, Pete

Just to update my exhaust drama.. found a lovely chap via a friend ( she has a really old Escort that he saved from the scrap) and he welded the offending bits for the princely sum of £40. Took it for it's M.O.T. yesterday and it sailed through......RESULT.
