My panel van has a leaky push rod tubes or two, I have seen the telescopic pushrod tubes talked about in older threads and just wanted to ask what brands i should go for and a good price would help if anyone knows where they might be on offer, I dont fancy taking heads off or the engine out at the moment as the van is still mobile.

Two Options

Scat, cheap at £80 quit a set and work but may not last 20 years ( It's what I have on both my vans)

Brickwerks ( other companies stock this at a similar price) high quality and will probably last 20 years but expensive at £250 a set

Don't forget to remove the pushrod first, you would not believe anybody would forget but somebody on here did ( Mentioning no names)

Yep i bought scat ones
Worked perfectly
Use plenty of lube on the sliding part
I used Vaseline (cue the comments)

yes me too but it's a mistake I think becuse when you want to get them off again they are stuck, had to make up a tool to do the job.

I think I need to get some silicone grease

I think scat ones will be the answer then, i hope they come back in stock quickly... and i don't have any Vaseline knocking around so i will use the industrial sex lube i have.

I’ve been found out! I did say I’m no expert. I can no longer eat coronation chicken due to something scat,it’s true what they say some things just can’t be unseen!
