We have an early 1984 westie and I'm trying to figure out how to install an Lpg gas bottle and hook it up to the hob. We want to use propain and also install a propain heater eventually. Has anybody got a link to a guide or pictures of how there's is set up as I can't find one anywhere

How will you fill an LPG bottle with propane?

Sorry not an LPG :rofl been reading to much on gas and it got stuck in my head. Just a propain canister that you can replace or refill

Surely propane is still LPG unless the definition has changed since I worked on a gas production platform.
I think the confusion over LPG is that the road use gas is a mixture of gases varying according to the season. ( varying amounts of propane and butane )

Why would you not just get a westy underfloor tank, and put it all back as it should be , it’ll pay for itself in no time !
Those silly 907 bottles are about £30 I was told, for two litre of gas .... that would be less than a quid at the pump !
Westy tank hold around 18litres of lpg , and never have any temperature issues , that’s about £9 to fill it .
My camper uses roughly 3 litres per 80 litres of fresh water , so about 6 litres a week when I’m away ( fridge on 24/7 , cooking at least two meals a day and plenty of kettle boiling for brews , washing up showering ect )

I read it as one of the refillable LPG bottles.

Underslung gas tank = best modification you can do. I picked up an old westfalia one, fitted it n piped to the existing manifold (less than 1 meter of pipe with couple of bends).
I'm in Spain at the moment n just topped up, 11l for 8 euro. [THUMBS UP SIGN]
